The bumblebee costume is a popular Halloween costume. It is usually worn by women and girls. The costume can, however, be worn by people of either sex and any age.
A bumble bee costume can be improvised quite easily out of items of clothing with yellow and black stripes on them. For example, black and yellow striped T-shirts, sweaters, dresses and leggings. Black stripes could be added to an old yellow T-shirt by sticking on black tape or could even be painted on to the shirt. Plain black pants or a plain black or yellow skirt may be worn. Fake antennae and wings, either shop bought or homemade, are essential components of the costume. A mask or face painting can enhance the look.
