The Chatterer.
Chatterer is a Cenobite from the Hellraiser movies. He is a member of Pinhead's gash and is one of the most recurring Cenobite demons other than Pinhead himself, as well as one of the most recognizable.
Fictional character biography[]
In life the Chatterer was a child who opened the Lament Configuration. Once he opened the puzzle box, he became a Cenobite. Unlike other Cenobites who have pale white faces, Chatterer has a skinless face, lacking eyes and a nose, and having his mouth hooked always revealing his teeth and gums. He chatters his teeth as if he were freezing, hence his name.
He is a part of Pinheads Order of the Gash alongside the Female Cenobite and Butterball. Chatterer holds Kirsty by putting his fingers in her mouth while letting Pinhead speak to her. It is here where Kirsty makes a deal with the Cenobites to take Frank back after being resurrected. After the Cenobites collect Frank, they try to take Kirsty as well, but she closes the box on them sending them back to Hell, including Chatterer who tried to take the box from Kirsty before she sent him back.

Aside from Pinhead, Chatterer appears in the Hulu 2022 version of Hellraiser, where he's once again a member of Pinhead's gash, alongside the Gasp, the Weeper, the Asphyx, the Masque and the Mother. The Chatterers design is relatively the same except he has white skin like other Cenobites, he's covered in blood and he's 7 feet tall. In this movie, Pinhead wants a woman named Riley to bring her more victims after she opens the box. Chatterer begins chasing Riley towards Roland Voight's mansion, trapping her between the gates. Riley then stabs Chatterer with the puzzle box, counting him as one of the souls needed to unlock the next configuration. Chains then tear Chatterer apart.
Other appearances[]
Chatterer appears as Pinhead's alternate costume in the video game Dead By Daylight when Pinhead was added to the game back in 2021. Chatterer's move set is the same as Pinhead's due to this.
