Count Leonid is a vampire and a possible recruitable party member from the 1995 RPG video game Romancing SaGa 3.
Story[]
In the game, Leonid lives in a castle located in the snowy village of Podorui. Every once in a while, he chooses beautiful young women from the village who are willing to be his bride and live for all eternity as a vampire. At the beginning of the game, the players main character stays at Leonid's castle for the night, where he warns the players characters not to wander deeper into his dungeon. If players return to his castle later in the game after getting stronger, they will see that Leonid was right, as his dungeon is filled with monsters that can wipe out the party easily if encountered at the beginning of the game. If players make it to the end of the dungeon, they will win Leonid's holy grail and are able to recruit Leonid himself as a party member.
Gameplay[]
If players choose to recruit Leonid into their party, they must be cautious with him due to him having only one LP (Which stands for life points), if it runs out, you'll have to recruit him again. Leonid cannot learn magic and can't be healed with healing magic, instead recovering his HP by sucking the blood of enemies on the battlefield. Interestingly, Leonid starts out with 666 HP. Leonid comes equipped with a powerful Dusk Robe and is immune to status effects. The only pieces of armor players can equip on him are ring accessories.
