Elphaba (also known as the Wicked Witch of the West) is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the Broadway musical Wicked and its movie adaptation, which serves as a prequel to the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz and tells the story of how Elphaba became the evil witch. This costume based on Elphaba includes her black witch hat, black cape and her purple dress. To have Elphaba's iconic green skin, people dressing as her can wear green face paint. Elphaba's broomstick can be an optional accessory. A group costume idea is to go trick-or-treating dressed as Elphaba and a friend or sibling dressed as Glinda.
