A popular costume, especially for little girls, is the princess costume.
This costume usually requires a long, shiny dress, maybe some jewelry and a crown.
The dress may have some beading or decorative smocking. Above the waist it's usually fitted with short or puffed sleeves. Below the waist it's usually a full, long skirt. It may also have a fancy belt or over skirt.
a race car driver, knight, some princesses and a fairy?
When small children wear this costume, make sure it's not so long that it will cause tripping during trick-or-treating.
Some of the popular, Disney princesses are Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel (also a mermaid), Sleeping Beauty.
Variations include a mermaid princess, Indian princess (both Native American and from India).
