Gremlins are monsters found in the 1986 video game Might and Magic Book One: The Secret of the Inner Sanctum. One of the game's initial enemies, they are one of the first two enemies to be able to attack twice, although to compensate they are weaker in strength, dealing less damage per attack. They are also cursed with a low attack speed, although their armor class and hit points are average.
Despite their double attacks, they are no threat to either fighter nor mage, as these attacks are their only strong feature, leaving them fairly easy to kill otherwise.
They are one of the only creature types that kept their original design between the initial PC release and the Nintendo Entertainment System port, with the only differences being a lack of hair, a different weapon, and a different skintone. This updated NES design was also used for the NES' Flesh Eater and Kobold.
