Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter  (also known as Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter) is a 1984 horror slasher film. It is a sequel to the 1982 movie Friday the 13th Part III. It was directed by Joseph Zito and written by Victor Miller and Ron Kurz. It stars Erich Anderson as Rob Dyer, Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis, and Kimberly Beck as Trish Jarvis. The movie is mainly about Jason Voorhees' final massacre and death at Camp Crystal Lake.

The movie was a box office success, having been made on a budget of $2,600,000 and earning more than $32,000,000. It was rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America. An uncut and unrated version was also released in the United States. The film was initially banned in Sweden and West Germany.

The movie was originally intended to be the last one in the series but, due to its success, a year later, in 1985, a sequel, Friday the 13th: A New Beginning was released.

Plot

After being mortally wounded and taken to the mourgue, murderer Jason Voorhees spontaneously revives, embarks on a killing spree and makes his way home to Camp Crystal Lake.
