Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood is a 1988 horror slasher film. It is a sequel to the 1986 movie Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. It was directed by John Carl Buechler and written by Daryl Haney and Manuel Fidello. It stars Jennifer Banko as Tina Shepard, John Otrin as John Shepard, and Susan Blu as Amanda Shepard. The movie is mainly about Jason Voorhees coming back to life and continuing his massacre at Camp Crystal Lake, while targeting a new victim.
The movie was not a great box office success, having been made on a budget of $2,800,000, it earned more than $19,000,000. The film was originally rated X by the Motion Picture Association of America, the rating was later changed to R. The movie was banned in Singapore.
A sequel, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, was released in 1989.
