Ghost is a copy ability that Kirby can obtain in the Kirby video game series created by Hal Laboratory and Nintendo. This ability allows Kirby to become a ghost.
Appearance[]
The Ghost copy ability first appears in the 2006 Nintendo DS video game Kirby Squeak Squad. Kirby can obtain this ability from inhaling the enemy Tedhaun after collecting all 7 pieces of the Ghost medal, a late-game mini boss that resembles a bedsheet ghost. After inhaling Tedhaun, Kirby appears white and has ghostly streams, similar to a ghost costume on Halloween. This ability made a cameo appearance in the 2008 Nintendo DS game Kirby Super Star Ultra during the sub-game Gourmet Race where Kirby can race his ghostly counterpart. In the 2014 game Kirby Fighters Deluxe and its 2020 sequel Kirby Fighters 2, Kirby turns into a ghost when defeated but can revive when touching opponents. Same applies to Bandana Waddle Dee, Gooey, Magolor, Meta Knight and King Dedede if they're defeated in battle.
Usage[]
If Kirby gets this copy ability, he'll be able to float around as ghosts do. He'll also have the ability to possess enemies similar to a demon. While possessing enemies, Kirby can use their abilities but is unable to go through doors. Ghost doesn't work against mid bosses, boss battles or Daroach and his Squeak Squad.
