Ghost kebabs (also spelled ghost kabobs) is a Halloween treat originally conceived by Natalie of Katarina's Paperie. It is a healthy alternative to other, more sugary treats.
To make these delicious October treats, you will need the following ingredients and supplies:
- Marshmallows
- Strawberries
- Melon (cut into cubes)
- Kebab Skewers
- Food coloring marker
Cooking instructions[]
You can prepare your shrunken apple heads ahead of time before display. You can refrigerate them in an airtight container lined with paper towels for upwards of 24 hours.
- Take the marshmallows and use some black food coloring marker to draw a ghost face on one side. This is a fun task to give to your children! Let marshmallows dry for a few minutes.
- Wash and then cut your fruit into bite-sized pieces. Alternate fruit and stab them onto the skewers: Use a strawberry, a slice of melon, and then a ghost marshmallow. Repeat until you reach the end of the skewer.
