Halloween is a yearly event in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, a life simulation game for Nintendo Switch. The event happens once a year, and it lasts the entire month of October.

In 2020, the event went on from September 30, 2020, to October 31, 2020. During this time, villagers can purchase candy once a day from Nook's Cranny and can also buy pumpkins from the store or from Leif's shop. The pumpkins take 3 days to grow, and can be used for DIY recipes, like making a scarecrow. Players can buy costumes from Able Sisters shop, and villagers can even change their skin color to look like a vampire, zombie, or witch. On October 31st, Jack the czar of Halloween visits your island, and you can give the candy you collected to your other villagers.
In 2021, three new items became available for the Halloween season. These items are a Spooky Treats Basket, a Spooky Tree, and a Spooky Trick Lamp. These items can be crafted, or they can be purchased at Nook's Cranny.
