Labyrinth is a musical fantasy film that was directed by Jim Henson, produced by George Lucas, and based on conceptual designs by Brian Froud. It was originally released to theaters in the US on June 27, 1986, and then to theaters in the United Kingdom on December 2, 1986.


The story revolves around a 15 year old named Sarah (played by Jennifer Connelly) who must go on a quest to reach the center of an enormous maze in order to save her baby brother Toby, who she regrettably wished away to Jareth the Goblin King (played by David Bowie), within 13 hours before he becomes a goblin forever.


  • When the film debuted in London, England, Prince Charles and Princess Diana attended the event and, along with other guests from the film business in London and members of the press, met some of the creatures seen in the film.
