Lydia Deetz is a fictional character and one of the main protagonists of the movie Beetlejuice as well as the main protagonist of the film's sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, portrayed by Winona Ryder. She is the daughter of Charles Deetz and stepdaughter of Delia Deetz and befriends the ghosts of Adam and Barbra Maitland. She has a daughter named Astrid in the second film. There are various costumes of Lydia that depict her in different ways. Some costumes depict her in her usual goth attire, while other costumes depict her in a red wedding dress that she wears at the end of the first movie. Some costumes of Lydia have even depicted her red spider dress that she wears in the animated Beetlejuice TV series.
