Plot[]
The movie features an opening hosted by David Carradine where he talks about the legacy and impact of Nosferatu and how the film is considered the first vampire movie.
In the movie, a man named Thomas leaves his home in Germany and travels to Transylvania in order to meet Count Orlok, who is planning on buying a house across the street from Thomas and his wife Ellen's home. When Thomas arrives at Orloks castle, he tries to suck Thomas's blood while having dinner after accidently cutting his finger. Thomas discovers that Orlok is a vampire, who bit his neck while sleeping.
Thomas sees Count Orlok being packed in a coffin and is later put on a ship sailing back to Germany. Thomas escapes and follows. On the ship, Count Orlok emerges from his coffin and murders the crew members aboard the ship, with some committing suicide by jumping off the ship before the vampire gets them too. There are no survivors, shocking the townspeople. Count Orlok carries his coffin into the new house.
Ever since Count Orlok moved in, many deaths occurred in the town, which doctors say is caused from a plague from rats on the ship. When Thomas and Ellen reunite, she has dreams about the vampire and later finds a book that Thomas found. One page says that a vampire will die if the victim willingly lets the vampire drink their blood. That night, Count Orlok sets eyes on Ellen thinking she has a beautiful neck. The vampire creeps up the stairs and enters Ellens room and begins sucking blood from her neck. what the vampire doesn't know is that Ellen was pretending to sleep, opening herself willingly. Once the sun rises, this causes Count Orlok to burst into flames killing the vampire.
