Puppet Master 4 is a 1993 horror movie. It is the fourth film in the Puppet Master franchise and is a sequel to the first two movies as the previous movie was a prequel. A sequel titled Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter was released in 1994.
Plot[]
In the underworld, a demon known as Sutekh sends his trio of mummy servants to the land of the living in the form of small dolls called Totems. They are found by two doctors named Dr. Baker and Dr. Piper who researches them, but they are murdered by the Totems and steal their souls.
At the Bodega Bay Inn in California, a young man named Rick Meyers is a caretaker there where he is also doing research on A.I. projects. He is visited by his girlfriend Suzie along with her friend Lauren and her boyfriend Cameron. Lauren seems to be psychic. During dinner they find Blade the puppet. Rick has never seen him before. Later they check the attic and find Pinhead, Jester, Tunneler and Six-Shooter, as well as Andre Toulon's diary which reveals that they can be brought to life with a serum. Rick and Cameron are curious and use the serum, bringing the puppets to life, luckily, they are not hostile, and Rick even uses Pinhead and Tunneler to help with his research.
Cameron is competing with Rick and finds a gameboard, he wants Lauren to use it for a seance. At first Lauren claims she is possessed by Andre Toulon but is actually possessed by Sutekh. The possessed Lauren uses the pyramid on the board to summon the Totems. Cameron tries to flee but is killed by a Totem in his car. The Totems are now on the loose at the Inn, so Blade, Pinhead, Jester, Tunneler and Six-Shooter fight back to protect Rick, Suzie and Lauren. They manage to kill one in the kitchen by Blade and Pinhead holding it for Tunneler to drill inside its torso.
Andre Toulon speaks to Rick through Lauren and tells Rick to find a new puppet to save them, the puppets then help Rick to find a puppet known as Decapatron. Rick and the puppets bring it to life with lightning from the storm outside, similar to Frankenstein's monster. Another Totem tries to interrupt them but is shocked to death by Six-Shooter who swings a wire like a robe which electrocutes the monster. Meanwhile Suzie saves Lauren from the third Totem by throwing acid on it, she and Lauren flee and look for Rick. However, the third Totem isn't dead.
Once Decapatron is brought to life, it is revealed that it is possessed by the spirit of Andre Toulon and its interchangeable head speaks with Rick. The third Totem arrives and wants to kill Rick. Blade tries to fight the Totem, but it knocks Blade out. Decapatron then uses his electric energy to blast the totem into oblivion, destroying it for good. This angers the demon Sutekh who screams in defeat. With Rick, Suzie and Lauren safe, Andre Toulon thanks Rick and tells Rick he is with him while also referring to Rick as the new Puppet Master.
