Sinister Squashlings are a type of vanity pet players can obtain during Hallow's End, World of Warcraft's version of Halloween. It is a random drop from the Handful of Treats item a player can grab once an hour from various buckets of candy in each town, or as a rare drop from the Loot-Filled Pumpkin dropped after killing the Headless Horseman. It can also be found in the Crudely Wrapped Gifts that spawn if players successfully free one of the towns from the Shade of the Horseman.
The sinister squashling appears as a typical living pumpkin monster, seen both in the game as the Pumpkin Fiends or in other games, such as the Bad Pumpkins in Medievil.
Like all companion pets, it can be used in pet battles.
