Skulls and Sculls is a black and white Felix the Cat cartoon released to theaters in June of 1930.
The film opens in a much darker environment than most Felix cartoons at the time. Felix is seen running from ghost-like characters who are playing tricks on him, and finally manages to escape. However, after running into a monster near a lake (or river), he ends up back inside the house where he was held captive. Felix then ends up in a dark room with what appears to be a pendulum blade swinging back and forth and lowering closer and closer to him. Just when it looks like Felix is about to get sliced in half, the lights come on to reveal it was just an initiation test for a college fraternity.
