The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is a 1986 horror movie and the sequel to the 1974 film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Like the first film, it was directed by Tobe Hooper, who didn't want his sequel to be similar in tone to the first movie.
Plot[]
Two high school friends race along a Texas highway, while also harassing a Texas radio station operated by Stretch and her partner L.G. over the phone. Later that night on a bridge, the two teens are encountered by a truck, where they see what appears to be a corpse using a chainsaw. It's revealed that the dead body is the corpse of Nubbins Sawyer, and his brother Leatherface is using his brother's body as a disguise, Leatherface then uses his chainsaw to slice the teens heads in half, while the audio is recorded by Stretch.
The following morning, a ranger named Lefty sees the teens crashed car, and thinks Leatherface might be behind this, as he wants revenge on Leatherface and his family for killing his nephew Franklin Hardesty and traumatizing his niece, Sally. Meanwhile, a man named Drayton Sawyer wins a local chili cookoff. He says that the meat is what makes his chili so good, but what everyone doesn't know is that Drayton puts human flesh in the chili.
After encountering Lefty, Stretch agrees to play the audio of Leatherface killing the two teens on her radio station in order to make the public aware of the incident, Lefty then purchases chainsaws to fight the sawyer family, however, Drayton here's the audio on his radio, and demands that his cannibal brothers go after the people at the radio station.
That night, Stretch sees a creepy man named Chop Top Sawyer in the radio station, where he sends out Leatherface to chase her, Chop Top later knocks L.G. unconscious. When Leatherface sees Stretch, he falls in love with her and uses his chainsaw to slash objects in order to fool Chop Top into thinking he killed her. The two brothers leave with L.G. and Stretch follows them to an abandoned carnival, where the Sawyer family is living.
Stretch finds herself trapped in the tunnels underneath the carnival, and encounters Leatherface again. In order to hide her from his brothers, Leatherface cuts off L.G.'s face and puts it on Stretch's face. After Leatherface leaves, he ties Stretch up, a somehow still alive L.G. uses a knife to cut Stretch free. L.G. finally dies as Stretch returns his face to him. Lefty arrives at the carnival, where he finds Franklin's corpse.
As Stretch tries to escape the horror, she is caught by Drayton, Chop Top and Leatherface, and are angry with him for not killing Stretch, but figure out that he's fallen in love with her. Knowing this, Drayton decides to invite Stretch to dinner before killing her. Tied to her chair, The Sawyers have their feast, then insist that their grandpa should be the one to kill her because he was the best killer around, even though their grandpa is too weak to hit her with his sledgehammer.
Lefty finds the Sawyers in time and has a chainsaw fight with Leatherface. Stretch flees the scene, only to be followed by Chop Top. During Leatherface and Lefty's fight, Drayton pulls out a grenade from Nubbins' shirt pocket, and uses it to blow up himself, their grandpa, Lefty and Leatherface, killing them. Chop Top chases Stretch to the top of a rock tower. Stretch grabs a chainsaw from the corpse of the family's grandma, this angers Chop Top and thinks Stretch killed his grandma, Stretch has trouble starting the chainsaw as Chop Top begins slashing at her with a knife, however, Stretch finally is able to start it, and slashes at Chop Top, causing him to fall off the rock tower to his death. Stretch covered in blood screams in victory spinning around, chainsaw in hand.
