The Vanishing Duck is a color Tom and Jerry short film. It was released to theaters on May 2, 1958. It is inspired by the novel The Invisible Man and its adaptations to other media.
A man named George gives his partner Joan a baby duck for her birthday. While they are out celebrating, Tom the cat goes after the duck but his plans are thwarted when the duck (and, later, Jerry the mouse) finds a jar of vanishing cream and uses it to well, vanish, and get even with Tom (for a while, at least).
- This short follows the same plot as The Invisible Mouse.
- This short is the last appearance of Quackers the Duck.
