Train Graveyard in Final Fantasy VII Remake.
The Train Graveyard is a location from the video game Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake. This area is haunted by ghosts.
Appearance[]
The train graveyard is a scrapyard that's filled with broken down trains. The area is located on the way to the Sector 7 slums in the city of Midgar (A metropolis that's divided into 8 sectors, each sector is a plate, with the slums below it). Many abandoned trains block paths, however, some train engines still partially work, allowing an individual to move a train out of the way. the area is a spooky place, and is haunted by ghosts, ghouls, and other things that go bump in the night.
In Final Fantasy VII[]
Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, and Aerith Gainsborough travel through the train graveyard after they escape from the sewers after being dropped there by Don Corneo. They battle ghosts and other monsters while trying to get through the area on their way to stop Shinra from destroying the Sector 7 pillar supporting the plate above. Train graveyard is pretty straight forward in the original game, though there are hidden items inside the trains for the player to pick up, including a weapon for Aerith that can be stolen by the enemy Eligor, as long as players have the Steal Materia equipped.
In Final Fantasy VII Remake[]
In Chapter 11: Haunted of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith are traveling through Train Graveyard in order to reach the Sector 7 slums just like the original game, the Remake however gives more detail to this part of the story. When they arrive, the group see signs on the ground and walls out of nowhere, they then battle ghosts following them. Aerith sees a sad ghost and realizes that the spirits of the Train Graveyard are trapped there. A few ghosts trap Cloud and his friends from venturing forward by blocking them with trains, one of the trains gives Cloud and the gang a message. As they venture their way through the Train Graveyard, they fight a giant ghoul. After defeating it, Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith manage to get through the ghost's trap.
The demon Eligor.
When Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith reach the end of the train graveyard, the ghosts give Aerith a vision of when she was a child, and Tifa sees a vision of Marlene, the daughter of Barret Wallace. After that they encounter the Demon who has all the spirits trapped there, Eligor. Eligor is quite a tough boss fight on Normal and Hard mode, however, Eligor is weak to ice magic, so it's wise for the player to cast Blizzard, Blizzara, or Blizzaga and/or summon Shiva during this boss battle. after Cloud and his party defeat the demon, all of the ghosts of the train graveyard are free. As the chapter ends, Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith hurry to the Sector 7 slums.
