The Pinhead

Pinhead

Here's my ranking of the eleven Hellraiser films from least to greatest.

  • #11: Hellraiser: Revelations (2011): I absolutely hate this movie, so much that I pretend it doesn't even exist, so there's nine movies in my mind.
  • #10: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018): It had interesting ideas, but overall, it was a boring entry.
  • 9: Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002): How do you bring back Kirsty and then barely use her. I don't want to follow the guy from the All-State commercials, I want to follow Kirsty!
  • 8: Hellraiser: Deader (2005): The whole plot with the deaders was a cool idea, but I don't think Pinhead and the cenobites mix well with this story.
  • 7: Hellraiser: Inferno (2000): From the future director of Doctor Strange is a cat and mouse detective story. Unfortunately, it was hard to invest in it due to our main character being extremely unlikeable.
  • #6: Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005): it's weird to see teens in a Hellraiser film, but Lance Henrickson's performance was okay. It's a goofy entry, but it's watchable.
  • #5: Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996): I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I love the addition of Angelique, and the plot was very interesting, but the film as a whole is a mess, and could've been so much more.
  • #4: Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988): A journey into the labyrinth, this is without a doubt, incredible, and this is probably the scariest entry in the series.
  • #3: Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992): This is were Pinhead really started to shine, I just enjoyed this, the stuff Pinhead did in this movie was incredible, he was like a slasher here.
  • 2: Hellraiser (2022): A truly incredible entry that resurrects this franchise to it's former glory. The cenobites are terrifying in this movie, Riley is a likable character, great practical effects with a small amount of cgi, and although Doug Bradley will always be Pinhead, Jamie Clayton knocked it out of the park.
  • #1: Hellraiser (1987): of course, nothing can beat the first one, it is truly an amazing horror film, filled with blood, gore, and thrills, this is Clive Barker's masterpiece, and it will tear your soul apart.
