"You go that way, and I'll go this way..."
No, don't do it! Don't split up.
This phrase and variations of it have become a "classic" component of scary movies, known as a trope. The innocent protagonists split up voluntarily helping out the "bad guys" by dividing and making it easier to kidnap/kill or otherwise dispose of them. You know when someone says, "You go that way, and I'll go..." that they are about to get into more serious trouble than they were already in by being in the scary movie.
